“Iran has regained part of its oil market share”

TEHRAN (Shana) -- A Foreign Ministry spokesman said: "During the failed US maximum sanctions, the main goal of the oil industry was to regain Iran's share of the oil market. In the last one year, we have regained part of this share.”

Speaking on Monday, Saeed Khatibzadeh told a press conference about the latest development in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) talks in Vienna: "What is happening in Vienna is that the JCPOA seasonal commission has been formed for the return of the United States to its commitments. Technical, political and executive issues are ongoing.”

In response to the question whether the oil sanctions are one of the remaining issues in JCPOA talks, he added: "It has been agreed to lift part of all the sanctions."

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said about the process of selling Iranian oil after the lifting of sanctions: "During the failed US maximum sanctions, the main goal of the oil industry was to regain Iran's share in the oil market. In the last one year, we regained part of this share."

Regarding the US piracy, Khatibzadeh stated: "The US government, like pirates, has in some cases sold shipments that did not even belong to Iran, which is illegal. Banditry is banditry, and it doesn't matter who the oil shipment belongs to; this should be added to the Washington administration's list of shame.”
