Fate of Remaining South Azadegan Wells Determined

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The CEO of Petropars Group said the group has signed a deal with a local firm for operating 15 wells in South Azadegan Oilfield which determines the fate of the remaining wells in the field.

According to the Petropars Group, Hamidreza Masoudi said: "This agreement was signed between Petropars and Tadbir Drilling Development Company in line with macroeconomic policies of the country and aims to increase production from joint fields and return of the country to global oil markets.”

Noting that South Azadegan Field has 206 wells, he said the development of 35 of the remaining wells is entrusted to Petropars, adding: "Before this, drilling of 10 wells was handed over to the National Drilling Company and through two almost simultaneous contracts, drilling 10 wells were assigned to Dana Energy Company and 15 wells were awarded to Tadbir Drilling Development Company.”

According to the Petropars CEO, with the signing of this contract, the fate of all 206 wells in the first phase of South Azadegan Field have been determined.
