ICOFC Receives Energy Management System Certification

TEHRAN (Shana) – The Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC), as the largest producer of gas in the country's land fields, has received the standard certification of energy management system (ISO50001: 2018) for observing international standards while boosting its productivity.

According to the company, Ahmad Rajabi, the company's production manager, said: "Establishment of energy management system was carried out in line with the implementation of general policies of the resistance economy and reform of consumption pattern announced by the Supreme Leader.”

He added: "Accordingly, over the past two years, by conducting studies and preparing standard instructions, the necessary infrastructure to comply with the requirements of the system were put forth in three stages of audit, including transit, internal and external audits by the certification company and finally ICOFC succeeded in receiving the certificate of Energy Management System (ISO50001: 2018).

Rajabi also reminded: the establishment of energy management system in the companies operating in the South Zagros, East and West is also being seriously implemented.

The establishment of an energy management system, in addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental impacts, improves energy performance, including energy efficiency and utilization and consumption, and ultimately significantly reduces energy-related costs based on international standards and increase productivity indicators.
