NISOC Backs Building Seamless Pipes

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) has supported production of seamless pipes in Iran for the first time.

According to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Maziar Zand, the CEO of Esfarayen Pipeline Company, speaking on the sidelines of the 25th Iran Oil Industry Exhibition, said: "Specialists of NISOC, both in terms of technical and engineering issues and guidance in production, have been pretty cooperative with our company."

He said his company is the only producer of the pipes in the country, adding: "With serious and well-codified planning and good cooperation between managers and employees, we were able to obtain new raw materials and resources from the private sector to increase production."

These kinds of pipes are known for their ability to withstand pressure more efficiently in comparison to other methods of pipe manufacturing processes, as well as being fast and cost-effective. Seamless pipes are generally used in gas lines, as well as pipes that carry liquids.
