Mohammad Meshkinfam said: "Part of this increase in gas output is due to repair and operation of the South Pars Phase 16 pipeline and another part is related to the completion of major South Pars gas wells since last year."
He stated that the gas production capacity of the South Pars joint field is 700 million cubic meters per day currently, and said: "For the time being, due to the cold season, 680 million cubic meters of gas is being produced from the joint field and achieving the production capacity ceiling requires coordination and removal of restrictions."
The CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company denied the rumors about a drop in gas pressure in South Pars, and added: "The drop in gas pressure in South Pars has not occurred to date and forecasts indicate that in the next three or four years, the drop in gas pressure will begin gradually."
