According to NIDC, Mehdi Arshian said: "The localization of these parts has resulted in more than 25 billion rials in costs savings."

He said among these parts are mud weight sensor, vibrating sieve jacking system, rig poles, valve plate, cement head, etc.

Arshian stated that during this period, in the field of research projects, 6 contracts worth 85 billion Iranian rials between had been signed between NIDC and universities and executive knowledge-based companies.

He added construction of the downhole engine of coiled tubing has also been completed with the cooperation of the Sharif University of Technology.
