According to the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Rahim Vaghari said since the beginning of the current calendar year, which began on March 21, 1 billion and 740 million cubic meters of sweet gas has been stored in the storage complex of Shurijeh.
He added: "Since the beginning of this [calendar] year, this amount has increased by about 40% compared to the same period last year, with the aim of storing sweet gas in the hot season and withdrawing in the cold season in recent years.”
The head of the Shurijeh storage unit at Shahid Hasheminejad Refinery emphasized: "Now, in this complex, with proper repair and operation plans, injection turbo-compressors are in the best condition for service and ensuring stability."
Vaghari added: "Currently, it is possible to inject 13 million cubic meters of gas per day with three rows of compressors, which is 3 million more than the nominal capacity of the facility, while with the efforts of specialists and domestic engineers, significant savings in repair costs and purchase of parts for this equipment has been achieved."
