An analysis of natural gas consumption from Oct. 4 to Oct. 10 shows that power plants ranked first with about 1.827 billion cubic meters consumed during the week. The household, commercial and small industrial sectors followed with approximately 1.502 billion cubic meters, while major industries used about 1.189 billion cubic meters. In total, these three sectors consumed more than 4.517 billion cubic meters of gas during the period.

Saturday, Oct. 4: Power plants consumed 265.13 million cubic meters, major industries 172.64 million, and households, commercial users and small industries 213.96 million — totaling 651.73 million cubic meters.
Sunday, Oct. 5: Consumption reached 269.08 million cubic meters for power plants, 172.54 million for major industries, and 218.51 million for households and small users, totaling 660.13 million cubic meters.
Monday, Oct. 6: Power plants used 273.49 million cubic meters, major industries 171.89 million, and household and commercial sectors 216.26 million — totaling 661.64 million cubic meters.
Tuesday, Oct. 7: Power plants consumed 264.09 million cubic meters, major industries 168.81 million, and the household and small sectors 226.30 million, with a total of 659.20 million cubic meters.
Wednesday, Oct. 8: Consumption stood at 261.29 million cubic meters for power plants, 168.39 million for major industries, and 210.73 million for household and commercial users — totaling 640.41 million cubic meters.
Thursday, Oct. 9: Power plants consumed 252.66 million cubic meters, major industries 167.12 million, and household and commercial sectors 216.13 million, with a total of 635.91 million cubic meters.
Friday, Oct. 10: Power plants used 241.05 million cubic meters, major industries 167.39 million, and household and commercial users 199.77 million — totaling 608.21 million cubic meters.
Data from the week ending Oct. 9 indicate that power plants remained the country’s largest gas consumers, averaging about 261 million cubic meters per day. Fluctuations in household, commercial and small industrial gas use were more noticeable compared with major industries.
