According to the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC), Hamid Kavian said the company used to burn 2 million cubic meters of gas which caused many environmental challenges in the region.

“However, we have signed a contract with the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC) and other petrochemical plants for gathering the gas and bring gas flaring to zero,” he said.

Kavian said that mobile oil separators and treaters were exploited in the area for preventing burning of crude oil in operations.
