According to the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC), the official said 30,000 meters had been drilled the by rig, adding the rig was constructed at Fajr Shiraz Industrial Complex and joined NIDC fleet back in 2011.

The 2,000 horsepower is considered one of the heavy-duty rigs at NIDC.

The wells drilled by Fath are in the regions operated by the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC).

The rig is currently drilling a development well in Maroon Oilfield which is expected to come on-stream by late March, said Karampour.
