PSEEZ Bahman Exports up 41% Y/Y

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The value of exported items from Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) rose by roughly 41% in the month of Bahman (the 11th month in Iranian calendar—January 21-February 19), year-on-year.

According to the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) website, Mohammad Mehdi Mahdavi, the director of customs affairs at PSEEZ, said the exported items from the zone hit the record of 1.4 billion dollars, up by at least 41% from the same period last year.

He said the items' weight also rose by 5%, adding a total of 317,389 tons of gas condensate was exported from the zone during the period.

In Bahman, the condensate shipments were valued at $650.18m, up by 32% from the same period last year, Mahdavi added.

He further said that non-oil exports from the zone stood at 1.366 million tons valued at $782.66m during the month, up by at least 39% in terms of volume and 49% in terms of value from the same month last year.

Diethylene glycol, urea, butane, propane, Para xylene, mono- and triethylene glycol, light and heavy polyethylene, gas condensate, cement and methanol are among the most exportable non-oil items from the zone.
