According to the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), the production capacity will be made possible by inauguration of new units at the refineries.
Masoud Hassani, managing director of SPGC said the facilities currently process 9,000 tons of ethane per day which will cross 11,000 t/y once new units become operational at the complex.
He said the units are being developed by relying of domestic capabilities in a bid to minimize sale of crude oil and gas.
