Indonesia Keen on Joining Iran Upstream Projects

TEHRAN, Dec. 05 (Shana) – Indonesian companies are interested to join upstream projects in Iran's oil industry in fields like Ab Teymour and Mansouri oilfields, said Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) of Indonesia Zulkifli Hasan.

Hassan and Deputy Petroleum Minister in International Affairs and Trading Amir Hossein Zamaninia met on Monday to discuss cooperation avenues in economic and energy grounds. 

During the meeting, Zamanina voiced Iran's readiness to sell crude oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to Indonesia. 

Zulkifli Hasan, for his part, said Indonesian state-owned oil and natural gas corporation, Pertamina, is interested in joining upstream projects in Iran. 

Iran has so far exported several LPG cargoes to Indonesia.
