NISOC Oil Output Fixed at 3m bpd

TEHRAN, Aug 28 (Shana) – Managing Director of National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) Bijan Alipour says his company's oil output is fixed at three million barrels per day.

Alipour, who was speaking in a ceremony to inaugurate the Government Week Exhibition of the NISOC, said during sanctions and at the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), measures have been taken for having a sustained production within shortest possible time, which stunned many oil producing companies.

"The countries were stunned as they were not well informed of Iran's domestic potential and capacity to indigenize technical know-how and manufacture of the advanced equipment."

He said within three years since 1392 (2013-14), when the 11th government took office, half-finished projects were completed and put into operation.

Furthermore, major portion of pipelines and refining units underwent fundamental overhauling, reconstruction and immunization.

The National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) is a government-owned corporation under the direction of the Ministry of Petroleum of Iran, and operates as a subsidiary of National Iranian Oil Company. It was established in Masjed Soleyman, 1971.

Currently NISOC is Iran's biggest oil producer, and the company is active in a land area more than 400,000 km² with headquarters in Ahwaz, Iran and other nine subsidiaries.

NISOC is producing about 83% of all crude oil and 16% of natural gas produced in Iran and ranks as the Iran's largest oil company.
