42m cf/d Associated Gas to Be Given to Private Sector

TEHRAN, July 27 (Shana) – Managing Director of National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) Bijan Alipour said on Tuesday that 42 million cubic feet of gas of four fields will be given to private sector in the first phase of an auction for flare gas sale.

Alipour made the remark in a ceremony to ink contract for sale of oil associated gases, where the Vice-President Masoomeh Ebtekar was present.

Alipour said the contract is being signed for offering about 14 million cubic feet/day gas from Maroon Six facility, about 15 million cubic feet/day from Maroon Three, 10 million cubic feet/day from Mansoori and about three million cubic feet/day from Karanj Parsi.

He said the flare gas will be sold to private sector per a short- and mid-term project and necessary guidelines and laws for the purpose have been compiled.
