Gas to Be Transferred to Neighbors from 7th Gas Zone

TEHRAN, July 03 (Shana) – Gas will be exported to the neighboring countries from the 7th gas transfer zone in the near future once the 6th nationwide gas transfer line and 9th nationwide gas transfer line are operational.

Director of the 7th Gas Zone Ali Safaralizadeh told Shana that besides exports, gas in the region is transferred to the west cold regions, northwestern regions.

To the end of his remarks, Safaralizadeh said there are now operations underway for fundamental repair of the regional gas pipelines and facilities and increase volume of gas transferred to major industries.

The 7th gas transfer zone is one of the 10 regions for gas transfer in Iran. 3,800 kms gas lines cross the area and three pressure gas stations are operational there, covering provinces of Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam, Markazi, Lorestan, Hamedan and parts of Zanjan and Qazvin.
