PCC Exports 928 Million Tons of Petrochemicals

TEHRAN August 30 (Shana)--Iran's Petrochemical Commercial Company (PCC) has exported 928 thousand tons of petrochemical products worth 950 million dollars over the first five months of current Iranian calendar year since March 21 2014.

PCC announced that it exported as much as 459 tons of various kinds of liquid gas including propane and butane.  
Para xylene, styrene, sodium hydroxide, heavy polyethylene, film heavy polyethylene, benzene, resins were the other main petrochemical products PCC exported.
It is believed that if gas production from South Pars gas field phases 15&16 and 17&18 are to be started this year, Iran’s production capacity of petrochemicals will go up by one million tons which in turn will raise petrochemical sector’s revenues by another 2 billion dollars.
