Speaking about measures taken to meet the nation’s fuel needs, Mohammad-Mehdi Mofateh said many had expected fuel shortages because of existing imbalances in the energy sector. However, he said the public witnessed uninterrupted access to gasoline and other petroleum products despite the challenges posed by the conflict.
“Many believed that wartime conditions, combined with fuel-sector imbalances, would lead to shortages of gasoline and other petroleum products,” Mofateh said. “But the dedication and hard work of oil industry employees ensured that no problems emerged in fuel supply.”
He added that while many countries are facing energy and fuel crises, along with sharp increases in gasoline prices, Iran’s consumers have not experienced fuel shortages, gas outages, or price hikes. According to Mofateh, this reflects the around-the-clock efforts of all branches of the Oil Ministry.
Mofateh also praised the government and the Oil Ministry for their performance, emphasizing that ensuring access to essential goods, particularly fuel and energy, is critical during wartime.
“Providing the public with essential fuel and energy supplies under wartime conditions is of utmost importance,” he said. “The government and the Oil Ministry have performed successfully in this area.”
