Malek Shariati-Niasar said he recently visited damaged petrochemical companies in Abadan and Mahshahr on behalf of the Parliament Energy Committee, accompanied by members of several other specialized parliamentary committees. The delegation assessed the latest conditions at the affected facilities and reviewed reconstruction efforts firsthand.

Shariati-Niasar praised the efforts of petrochemical industry employees, managers, engineers and workers, saying the visit was an opportunity not only to thank them for their work but also to hear their concerns, proposals and requests. He said the issues raised would be pursued through Parliament's oversight process.

He added that the Energy Committee, in coordination with the industries and mines, economic, and planning and budget committees, is addressing issues including financing, equipment procurement and other challenges requiring decisions at the government and national levels.

Despite the damage, Shariati-Niasar said workers, engineers, managers and other industry personnel have demonstrated a strong commitment to restoring operations, going beyond their formal responsibilities to repair facilities and return plants to normal operations.
