Saeid Tavakoli said Monday, on the sidelines of a meeting between the oil minister’s deputies and members of Parliament’s Energy Committee, that a productive joint session was held in which several issues were reviewed, particularly the process of restoring and rebuilding production capacity at the Assaluyeh refinery.
He added that a number of measures and decisions were discussed during the meeting and approved by members, and that the resolutions are to be pursued as effectively as possible.
Tavakoli emphasized that one of the company’s most important initiatives is the energy service operator program. He said the issue has been placed on the agenda at the oil minister’s direction and within the framework of upstream policy documents, and that 77 contracts have now been signed in provinces across the country.
He said the initiative provides a strong opportunity to use existing capacities to help manage, optimize and control energy consumption in the country.
