Household sector accounts for 66% of total gas consumption

SHANA (Tehran) - The household, commercial and small industrial sectors consumed 66% of the total natural gas delivered to Iran’s national grid on Feb. 6.

An analysis of gas consumption patterns across the national network shows that household and commercial use continues to make up a large share of total gas production. Data from the National Iranian Gas Co. indicate that gas consumption in the household, commercial and small industrial sectors reached 589 million cubic meters on Feb. 6, equal to 66% of the gas delivered to the grid.
Observing consumption standards and using certified heating equipment play a key role in maintaining the stability of the gas supply network and preventing added strain during peak demand periods.
The National Iranian Gas Co. said effective consumption management in the household and commercial sectors is critical to network stability and to meeting the needs of other sectors. The company urged consumers to follow optimal consumption patterns and conserve gas to help ensure a stable supply nationwide.
Adhering to efficient consumption practices, particularly during cold weather, not only supports network stability but also facilitates gas supply to industrial users.
