Household gas consumption declines to 586 mcm

SHANA (Tehran) – Gas consumption by households, commercial establishments, and small-scale industries reached 586 million cubic meters on February 1, equivalent to 68% of total gas supplied to the network.

An analysis of consumption patterns in the national gas network indicates that the share of household and commercial sectors from total gas production remains high despite a decline. According to data from the National Iranian Gas Company, consumption by households, commercial, and small-scale industries reached 586 million cubic meters on February 1.

Adhering to consumption guidelines and using standard heating equipment plays a decisive role in maintaining the stability of the gas supply network and preventing increased strain during peak consumption periods.

The National Iranian Gas Company emphasized that consumption management in the household and commercial sectors plays a decisive role in network stability and meeting the needs of other sectors. The company has asked subscribers to help ensure a stable and continuous gas supply across the country by following optimal consumption and conservation measures.

Following optimal consumption patterns, especially during cold days, not only maintains network stability but also facilitates gas supply to industries.
