Arvandan oil output rises with start-up of Darkhovin Well 35

SHANA (Tehran) – The managing director of Arvandan Oil & Gas Company said production has increased following the start-up and flow of Well 35 at the Darkhovin oil field after years of inactivity, adding 4,000 barrels per day to the company’s oil output.

According to the National Iranian Oil Company, Hamid Deris said the start-up of Darkhovin Well 35 was successfully completed. The well, considered one of the high-pressure wells in the Fahliyan formation, is now sending its crude oil to the Darkhovin oil field processing unit.

Deris said the design, execution and commissioning of the well were carried out under the leadership of the Engineering and Construction Management, with the cooperation of the company’s technical, operations and headquarters departments.

He praised the round-the-clock efforts of managers, experts and specialized personnel, noting that the project included construction of 4 kilometers (about 2.5 miles) of aboveground flowline, as well as the installation and commissioning of surface facilities at the well site and cluster.

Deris said the project set a time record, with all execution, installation and commissioning stages completed in less than three months through the continuous efforts of employees, particularly those in the Engineering and Construction Management and other related technical and production units.

He said Well 35 at Darkhovin has entered production for the first time as part of the company’s output growth plans and will play a significant role in boosting production targets and enhancing the operational capacity of Arvandan Oil & Gas Company.
