Iran Co. Receives OHSAS 18000:2007 Certificate

TEHRAN – Iran’s Khorassan Petrochemical Company received the 2007 edition of OHSAS 18000 certificate from the Dutch company DNV, said the managing director Wednesday.

Assadollah Rastgarpour added the certificate of the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) was awarded for the company’s compliance with related rules and regulations and would be valid for three years.

He said the 2007 version of the certificate was introduced in Iran just three months ago, adding the company received it for its desirable performance.

Rastgar, also the head of board of directors, boasted that Khorassan Petrochemical Company was the first center of the country that had received the certificate.

He added the ISO 9001:9000 certificate of the company was extended during the second stage examination.

Last month, Khorassan Petrochemical Company was introduced as the best company of the country in terms of safety and environmental measures, receiving a statuette from National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Gholam-Hossein Nejabat.
