Deputy oil minister recognized at Third Women Governors Festival

SHANA (Tehran) - The deputy oil minister for management development and human capital was honored as one of the awardees at the Third National Festival of Women Governors.

The event, organized by the Shahid Beheshti School of Governance, recognized Sediqeh Khazaei, the Oil Ministry’s deputy for management development and human capital, as one of the distinguished women leaders and presented her with an award.
Held under the slogan “Women’s Governance: A Model for Social Transformation,” the festival coincided with the national week honoring women and Mothers’ Day. Its aim was to promote the viewpoints of the leaders of the Islamic Revolution regarding women and governance, highlight the role of women in leadership, and acknowledge successful female governors across the country.
A large number of women leaders from across Iran attended the national event, along with several government officials, including Mohsen Esmaeili, the vice president for strategic affairs; Zahra Behrouz-Azar, the vice president for women and family affairs; and Farzaneh Sadeq Malvajerd, the minister of roads and urban development.
During the ceremony, speakers emphasized the importance of women’s roles in national progress and in addressing governance challenges by leveraging women’s capacities.
Out of 426 nominees presented by various agencies and organizations, 13 current leaders and three veteran leaders were selected after 10 stages of evaluation by the review committee. The event concluded with the unveiling of the book Women in Governance Relations and recognition of all 16 award recipients.
