According to the South Pars Gas Company, Saeid Heidari outlined the complex’s latest achievements at the Ninth Domestic Manufacturing Exhibition for Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals in Assaluyeh. He said South Pars has reached a point where it can meet most of its operational needs without relying on foreign suppliers — a milestone made possible through trust in domestic technical expertise and extensive cooperation with knowledge-based firms.
Heidari said more than 15,500 parts and pieces of equipment needed by South Pars’ 13 refineries have so far been indigenized by Iranian manufacturers. He added that a stable and smart domestic supply chain has been established to reduce dependence on imports and strengthen production reliability.
Pointing to the complex’s move toward a strategic policy of using 100% domestically produced goods and equipment, he said relying on local capabilities is not only an economic choice but also a key factor in enhancing energy security and ensuring continuous production in the country’s gas sector. Localizing advanced equipment that was once imported demonstrates the ability of Iranian companies to enter specialized and strategic segments of the gas industry.
Heidari stressed that with the support of domestic producers, the South Pars Gas Complex is moving toward industrial independence more than ever before — a trend that is fostering a new generation of technological cooperation between the oil industry and new technology-based firms.
