According to the company, Ali-Asghar Navaei attributed the sharp rise in consumption to colder weather in recent days. He noted that gas use on the same day last week was about 34 million cubic meters.
Emphasizing the importance of safety and efficient use, Navaei urged Tehran residents to check flue pipes before installing or operating heating systems, especially gas heaters, to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
He also advised consumers to set indoor temperatures at around 20 degrees Celsius, saying that lowering the thermostat by just 2 degrees can help conserve gas.
Navaei called on residents to follow these simple guidelines to help manage gas consumption so that people in colder regions of the country can also benefit from the nation’s gas supply.
