Speaking Monday, a live video session with the Ministry of Oil’s sixth firefighting Olympiad, Hamid Bovard referred to the heroism of oil industry firefighters during the blaze on Sept. 29, 1980. He said that health, safety, and environment—commonly known as HSE—has become a core principle in major companies worldwide and is now firmly embedded in the oil sector.
Bovard expressed satisfaction with the increase in accident-free days at oil facilities and the efforts made to protect the environment on land and at sea. He said safeguarding the environment, along with employee safety and health, remains a top priority for the National Iranian Oil Company. He also noted that the company’s health and medical organization runs extensive programs to promote employee well-being.
