The 455-kilometer (283-mile) Bandar Abbas-Rafsanjan pipeline is a key infrastructure project designed to meet growing demand in Iran's central and northern regions.
The Sabzeab-Shazand pipeline, built with an investment of 330 million euros ($360 million), will provide a stable supply of feedstock for the Shazand and Esfahan refineries.
The National Iranian Oil Engineering and Construction Co. was the project contractor, and the Iranian Oil Pipelines and Telecommunication Co. will operate the lines. The projects directly created 3,500 jobs and indirectly supported 7,000 more.
