Oil product pipelines begin operation under president's order

SHANA (Tehran) - Two major oil product pipelines, the Bandar Abbas-Rafsanjan and the Sabzeab-Shazand lines, were officially inaugurated Friday with a combined length of approximately 800 kilometers (500 miles). The launch was ordered by President Masoud Pezeshkian via video conference and attended by Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad.

The 455-kilometer (283-mile) Bandar Abbas-Rafsanjan pipeline is a key infrastructure project designed to meet growing demand in Iran's central and northern regions.
The Sabzeab-Shazand pipeline, built with an investment of 330 million euros ($360 million), will provide a stable supply of feedstock for the Shazand and Esfahan refineries.
The National Iranian Oil Engineering and Construction Co. was the project contractor, and the Iranian Oil Pipelines and Telecommunication Co. will operate the lines. The projects directly created 3,500 jobs and indirectly supported 7,000 more.
