According to the South Pars Gas Complex, Mohammad-Shafie Moazeni said the overhaul began with full preparedness to guarantee maximum and sustainable production in winter. The maintenance period is scheduled to last 28 days.
Moazeni noted that Refinery No. 3 plays a vital role in sustaining Iran’s national gas grid as a key supplier. The overhaul aims to resolve operational issues, enhance readiness, and ensure proper equipment functionality.
During the 28-day period, 726 corrective work orders and 577 preventive work orders will be executed. A key task includes replacing molecular sieves in three gas trains, which are critical to gas refining and the production of byproducts such as LPG and ethane. The upgrades are intended to improve gas quality, increase byproduct efficiency, and prevent equipment damage.
Moazeni expressed hope that, through the efforts of all staff and experts, the overhaul would be completed safely and on schedule, allowing the refinery to resume full production.
