Fuel supply network stability achieved through efforts of 160,000-person chain

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) highlighted the smart strategies and round-the-clock efforts of 160,000 operational personnel in the fuel supply and distribution chain to maintain the stability of the country’s fuel network during the imposed war with the Zionist regime.

Mohammad-Sadeq Azimifar emphasized that despite a 50% surge in demand, cyber threats, and military attacks, fuel supply continued uninterrupted.

The NIORDC head, speaking Tuesday at a meeting with fuel supply chain stakeholders, honored the memory of martyrs from early Islam, the Islamic Revolution, and recent conflicts.

He stated that in the recent attacks by the Zionist regime, nearly 1,000 of Iran’s finest citizens were martyred, including elites, prominent scientists, high-ranking military commanders, and innocent civilians. He called the aggression a blatant violation of human rights and international law.

Despite ideological and political differences, Azimifar noted, the Iranian people stand united under the nation’s flag. This unity, he said, marks Iran’s greatest victory against the enemy.

Fuel resilience in the face of enemy attacks

After failing in cyber and psychological warfare, the enemy turned to military strikes targeting fuel supply infrastructure, including oil depots in Shahran and Shahr-e Rey. However, through smart countermeasures and the dedicated efforts of employees, no disruptions occurred in fuel supply and distribution.

Azimifar pointed to the large-scale mobilization of personnel in the "fuel supply battlefield," with over 160,000 operational staff working nonstop at refineries, pipelines, distribution centers, transport fleets, and fuel stations. Despite record-breaking daily gasoline consumption of 200 million liters, the fuel network remained stable—a national epic.

He thanked the tireless efforts of fuel supply and distribution workers, the oil minister, and the petroleum industry, stressing that their resilience not only ensured uninterrupted service but also demonstrated Iran’s commitment to defending its dignity, security, and independence.

Attendees included Keramat Veys-Karami, CEO of the Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company; Ali Ahmadi-Pour, head of Iran Oil Pipelines and Telecommunications Company; and other senior officials.
