According to the Presidential Office’s news website, Pezeshkian, speaking at a cabinet meeting Sunday, thanked executive agencies for their coordination, synergy and tireless efforts. He emphasized that continuous service to the Iranian people must be maintained during the current sensitive circumstances.
He urged that necessary authority be granted to ministers, provincial governors and managers so they can carry out their duties with an open mind and greater efficiency and innovation.
Proper resource management, forward-looking decisions
The president advised executive managers on the importance of proper resource management, targeted cost-saving measures and foresight in decision-making.
He noted that while enemies believed attacks and the killing of military commanders and scientists would destabilize Iran, the nation’s decisive and deterrent response, guided by the Leader’s wisdom and the capability of successor forces, swiftly countered the aggressors. This approach, he said, must be institutionalized across all agencies to ensure public services remain uninterrupted.
Pezeshkian stressed that provincial officials must take charge during crises, using creativity, initiative and managerial courage to resolve issues quickly.
He said now is the time to set aside differences and mobilize the nation’s vast potential, noting that Iranians have repeatedly proven their willingness to defend their homeland.
Only path to preserving independence: Unity and cohesion
Referring to the previous night’s US attack on nuclear facilities, the president strongly condemned the act, calling it proof that the US is the main driver of the Zionist regime’s hostility toward Iran. Initially, he said, they tried to conceal their role, but after Iran’s decisive military response and the Zionist regime’s evident failure, they were forced to intervene directly.
Pezeshkian stated that Iran’s powerful retaliatory strikes on occupied territories were a response to US. aggression, as the Zionist regime lacks the capability to confront Iran alone.
Reflecting on the political and legal dimensions of these events, he said recent developments have exposed the emptiness of concepts like democracy, human rights and international law. In such a world, he argued, real power is the only way to safeguard independence, dignity and security. The primary source of this power is national unity, followed by full support for elites, thinkers, economic actors and all segments of society. Enemies fear Iran’s awareness, unity and capability, he said, and preserving these values will ensure victory.
Delegating responsibilities to all sectors
The president reiterated the need for broad public engagement and delegating responsibilities, stressing that the government must reassure citizens and maintain uninterrupted services. No challenge should hinder this mission, he said.
Regarding expedited customs clearance at ports, Pezeshkian called for strict oversight by the Interior, Economy and Agricultural Ministries. Transparency in tracking goods and coordination with provincial governors is essential to prevent distribution disruptions.
