Oil minister reports on Iran Oil Show 2025 at cabinet meeting

SHANA (Tehran) – Oil Minister Moussen Paknejad provided a detailed report on the 29th International Oil, Gas, Refining, and Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show 2025) during a cabinet meeting on Sunday afternoon, May 10.

The meeting, chaired by President Masoud Pezeshkian, addressed various executive matters from government members. Paknejad's report highlighted the participation of 2,200 domestic and foreign companies at the exhibition.

Coinciding with the event, drilling operations in the Caspian Sea resumed after a 28-year halt. Additionally, a tripartite agreement was signed between producers, municipalities, the Oil Ministry, the Department of the Environmental, and service providers—such as the postal service and Digikala—to deliver 20,000 electric motorcycles in Tehran, replacing outdated models.

During the exhibition, $200 million worth contracts was also signed with 18 startup companies to produce goods manufactured in the country for the first time.
