Persian Gulf Star Refinery increases production capacity by 3m liters

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of Persian Gulf Star Oil Company announced a 3 million-liter increase in gasoline production capacity at the world’s largest gas condensate refinery. The expansion follows major overhauls in the Phase 2 gasoline production unit and the installation of a new heat exchanger, set for completion in the Iranian calendar year 1404 (2025-26).

Gholamhossein Ramezanpour stated that, in line with the Leader’s directives to fulfill the year’s economic goals, a new investment was made in the Phase 2 gasoline unit to boost production capacity. The project involved replacing the heat exchanger, with groundwork, modifications, preventive maintenance, and repairs carried out by skilled young engineers.

He noted that the large-scale heat exchanger replacement improved quality, increased octane ratings, and raised the refinery’s daily gasoline production capacity to 45 million liters.

Emphasizing the project’s importance and the refinery’s key role in producing strategic fuel products and meeting national energy demands, Ramezanpour highlighted the creativity and expertise of young engineers. The upgrades also focused on environmental compliance, efficiency improvements, and adherence to safety standards.
