Iran, Russia stress development of joint oil fields

SHANA (Tehran) – Iran’s Oil Engineering and Development Company and Russia’s ZNV Vostok reviewed existing challenges and emphasized strengthening technical cooperation and accelerating development projects in shared oil fields.

A joint meeting between executives of Iran’s Maten Company and Russia’s ZNV was held Monday (April 14) to discuss strategies for developing oil fields and enhancing technical collaboration.

Nasrollah Zarei, CEO of the Oil Engineering and Development Company, along with board members and project managers overseeing development and production increases at the "Aban and Paydar-e Gharb" and "Cheshmeh-Khosh, Dalpari, and Paydar-e Sharq" fields, attended the meeting. Both sides reviewed the latest project updates and stressed the need for increased engagement, resolving existing obstacles, and expediting joint projects.

ZNV, as the contractor, is responsible for carrying out development projects in these fields. The meeting was seen as a positive and effective step toward facilitating cooperation and accelerating project progress.
