Gasoline consumption rises 15%

SHANA (Tehran) – Iran's daily gasoline consumption reached over 131 million liters on Thursday, Farvardin 14, as travelers returned from Nowruz holidays, marking a 15% increase compared to the same day last year.

According to data from the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC), 131.6 million liters of gasoline were distributed nationwide on Farvardin 14 (April 3), up by 17.2 million liters (15%) from the 114.4 million liters recorded on the same date last year. 

The NIOPDC report also noted that the average daily gasoline consumption between Farvardin 1 and 14 this year was 131.2 million liters. Additionally, consumption on Farvardin 12 and 13 (April 1 and April 2) was reported at 150.2 million liters and 118.5 million liters, respectively.
