Keramat Veis-Karmi noted that gasoline usage rose significantly in some provinces during this year's Nowruz holidays.  

He stated that Fars, Isfahan, Khuzestan, Razavi Khorasan, Mazandaran and Gilan recorded the highest growth in fuel consumption during this period. Meanwhile, Tehran, the capital, maintained its position as the country's top overall gasoline consumer.
