Persian Gulf Star Oil Company increases gasoline production by 4m liters

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of Persian Gulf Star Oil Company announced a 4-million-liter increase in daily gasoline production at the Star of Persian Gulf Refinery, set to take effect in the second half of the Iranian calendar year 1403 (2024-2025). The production boost is attributed to improved processing conditions in gasoline production units, increased pressure in these units, and the commissioning of new compressors.

Gholamhossein Ramazenpour stated that a 1.4% reduction in waste during the second half of the previous year resulted in $70 million in savings for the refinery. With the additional 4 million liters of daily gasoline production, the refinery’s total daily output has risen to 42.6 million liters, marking a significant increase compared to the same period in the Iranian year 1402 (2023-2024).

Ramezanpour highlighted key initiatives undertaken in 1403, noting that the refinery’s processing capacity increased from 420,000 barrels per day to 450,000 barrels per day. Plans are also in place to continue operations and major maintenance in 1404.

He added that new storage facilities, costing over 8 trillion tomans, and the construction of the refinery’s entrance building, at a cost of 2 trillion tomans, were among the projects completed in 1403. Additionally, preparations are underway to install new converters in the first quarter of 1404, which are expected to increase the refinery’s daily gasoline production by at least 3 million liters.
