Majid Najarian, the executive in charge of development and production enhancement for the Cheshmeh Khosh, Dalpari, and East Paydar oil fields, stated that the project aims to gather precise data from the reservoir in an area spanning 556 square kilometers.
Najarian emphasized that the East Paydar oil field, located on the border of Ilam and Khuzestan provinces, faces significant safety and technical challenges due to the legacy of heavy combat during the imposed war.
To ensure safety and prevent potential incidents, mine clearance and area cleanup operations were completed before the project began and continue alongside the main operations. This simultaneous work has doubled the project's complexity.
He added that Dana Kish Geophysics Company, the project contractor, has begun marking seismic lines after conducting field tests to optimize energy source and receiver parameters. In areas where vibrator equipment could not be used, drilling teams collected data through explosive methods by digging pits up to 18 meters deep. Risk assessment and management of residual explosive materials from the war have also been rigorously addressed.
Najarian noted that activating a second work shift has accelerated the project's progress, and despite its vast geographical scope, work is proceeding as planned. The processed data will help identify new oil horizons in the field. This project not only enhances reservoir understanding and optimizes development plans for the East Paydar field but also represents a significant step forward in seismic technology for complex and challenging regions.
