The agreement, signed on Tuesday, focuses on leveraging modern technologies, developing dedicated cellular networks (4G and 5G), and enhancing critical infrastructure in the oil and gas sector. It also aims to improve the supply and distribution chain of energy products and carriers.
The agreement was signed by Ahmad Zera’atkar, Deputy Minister of Oil for Planning Affairs, and Mehdi Akhavan Behabadi, CEO of Hamrah-e-Aval.
Key objectives include reducing costs, developing a comprehensive smart energy management system, optimizing fuel consumption, and establishing secure communication infrastructure in line with national regulations.
Under the agreement, Hamrah-e-Aval is committed to implementing secure and high-speed communication infrastructure, providing consultancy for the oil industry’s digital transformation roadmap, utilizing modern technologies to develop smart services, securing necessary investments and funding, and obtaining required legal permits. The company will also enter into contracts with subsidiaries of the Ministry of Oil.
The Ministry of Oil, in turn, is tasked with facilitating permits, coordinating with its subsidiaries, pursuing financial resources and credit, collaborating on providing necessary data to achieve objectives, and forming a committee to set tariffs for specialized services.
A six-member working group, comprising three representatives from each side, has been established to identify collaboration opportunities and plan projects. The group will hold monthly meetings to monitor progress and implementation.
