MoUs inked for two South Pars gas compression hubs

SHANA (Tehran) – Two cooperation agreements have been signed to launch specialized studies and oversee basic engineering for Hubs 3 and 6 of the South Pars gas field pressure-boosting project.

According to Pars Oil and Gas Company, as part of the strategic South Pars gas compression plan, the Khatam al-Anbia Construction Headquarters’ Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Holding signed a memorandum of understanding to conduct geophysical and geotechnical studies for Hubs 3 and 6.

At the same time, a management consultancy (MC) contract was concluded to supervise the basic engineering consultant for the South Pars pressure-boosting project. With the contract taking effect, formal oversight of engineering documents produced by the consultant will begin, accelerating and improving the review, revision and completion of basic engineering documentation.

At the signing ceremony, Khodadad Eskandari, executor of Hubs 3 and 6, described Khatam al-Anbia Construction Headquarters as a leader in complex national projects and a reliable partner for major developments. He said he hoped joint cooperation would ensure Hub 3—one of the most complex components of the pressure-boosting plan—is implemented to the highest national and international standards.

Hamid Mousavi, deputy head of the holding, underscored the strategic importance of the South Pars pressure-boosting project, saying the organization is mobilizing all technical, engineering and management capacities to expedite its execution.
