SPGC maximizes efforts for public welfare amid severe cold

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of the South Pars Gas Complex (SPGC) announced that the facility is making every effort to ensure public welfare during the country’s severe cold weather.

Gholamabbas Hosseini stated on Tuesday that the complex is fully prepared to meet the challenges posed by the extreme drop in temperatures, which are expected to fall by up to 15 degrees Celsius, along with warnings of snow and frost.

Hosseini emphasized that the South Pars Gas Complex has mobilized all its resources to support the public during the cold season, as it has done in previous years. He highlighted the full readiness of the complex’s equipment and facilities, noting that 108 turbo compressors across the refineries are operating at full capacity.

This has been achieved through timely maintenance and the utilization of 100% of the capabilities and expertise of domestic and knowledge-based manufacturers.

The CEO also mentioned progress in the maintenance of pumps and boilers at the South Pars refineries, stating that the complex is on track for complete modernization.

Additionally, Hosseini pointed to the complex’s self-reliance in the production of cold boxes, a critical component in gas processing.

He announced the successful unveiling of a domestically designed and manufactured cold box at the eighth refinery of South Pars, which is set to be installed and operational in the near future. This achievement aligns with the complex’s vision of localizing technology and leveraging domestic manufacturing capabilities.
