NIOC says over 14 mcm of APG to be collected by mid-March 2026

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) announced that 14 to 15 million cubic meters (mcm) of associated petroleum gas (APG) will be collected annually from new projects by the end of the next Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2026).

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Third Petrotech Conference on Sunday, Hamid Bovard emphasized that a significant portion of the associated gas gathering projects in the oil industry has already been inaugurated. He noted that the first phase of the NGL 1200 gas gathering project has been completed, and the second phase is expected to become operational in the coming months.

Bovard added that by the end of the next year, between 14 mxm and 15 mcm of associated gas will be collected daily across the country through new projects.

The NIOC CEO also highlighted efforts to improve efficiency in drilling rig operations, stating that the company is actively seeking long-term contracts with firms capable of supplying both onshore and offshore drilling rigs.

The Third Petrotech Conference is being held on Sunday and Monday at the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry in Tehran.
