Mousa Ahmadi made the remarks on Thursday during the final meeting of the parliamentary energy commission's provincial visit to Khuzestan Province, where he praised the excellent performance of the PGPIC management team over the past few years.
"The outstanding performance of the PGPIC despite constraints and sanctions is a suitable model for other managers and stagnant projects in the country," Ahmadi said. "It is hoped that this determination, which has led to brilliant results, will be generalized in the country's management apparatus to move toward creating value and achieving more honors."
At the invitation of the representative of Behbahan and Aghajari, the chairman and several members of the parliamentary energy commission visited the massive East Karoun flare gas collection project, the largest construction workshop in the country, as part of their provincial tour of Khuzestan.
During the one-day trip, Mahmoud Aminnejad, deputy head of planning and business development at the PGPIC, presented field reports on the progress of the national project and explained the past and future challenges facing the environmental and value-creating project.
The delegation, including Ahmadi, Hamid Bovard, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, and members of the parliamentary Energy Committee, visited the 400-kilovolt Issar power plant, operational sites in Aghajari 2, Rag Sefid 1, Cluster, and the pre-compression unit of NGL 1000. They also attended a final meeting at the PGPIC, the largest and first onshore gas refinery in West Asia.
