32% increase in power plant fuel oil delivery since Jan. 20

SHANA (Tehran) – The amount of fuel oil delivered to power plants across the country from January 20 totaled nearly 1.155 billion liters.

This figure represents a 32% increase compared to the same period in 2024 and a 55% rise compared to 2023.

According to the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, 1.155 billion liters of fuel oil were delivered to power plants during the said 22 days.

This marks a 32% increase from the 876 million liters delivered during the same period in 2024 and a 55% increase from the 746 million liters delivered in 2023.

On average, 53.9 million liters of fuel oil were delivered daily to power plants during this period, reflecting a 31.6% increase compared to the daily average of 40.9 million liters in corresponding days of 2024. This represents a daily increase of 12.9 million liters.

Additionally, an average of 84.3 million liters of liquid fuel were delivered daily to power plants since January 20, up 26.4% from the daily average of 66.7 million liters during the same period in 2024. This translates to an increase of 17.6 million liters per day.
