The projects were unveiled Tuesday, during a ceremony attended by Mohammad-Sadeq Azimifar, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, Keramat Veys-Kermani, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, the deputy minister of industry, mine, and trade, and representatives from the automotive industry and private sector.

The event marked the opening of 12 CNG stations across several provinces, including East Azerbaijan, Kerman, Isfahan, Lorestan, Razavi Khorasan, as well as Sistan and Baluchestan.

Additionally, memorandums of understanding were signed to expand the use of bioethanol in the fuel supply chain in collaboration with the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO), as well as to produce dual-fuel vehicles in partnership with Iran Khodro and Zamyad companies.

The ceremony also saw the relaunch of a system to convert gasoline-powered vehicles to dual-fuel models.

The initiatives are part of Iran's broader strategy to diversify its energy mix and reduce reliance on traditional fossil fuels.
