The minister emphasized the need to provide opportunities for the country's talented youth to prevent their migration to other countries. He also highlighted the importance of leveraging the capabilities of women in administrative, research, and engineering roles.
Mohsen Paknejad, speaking Thursday evening during a meeting with senior oil industry officials in Khuzestan Province, noted that expectations are high for the southern oil-rich regions.
He urged managers in these areas, as well as those at Arvandan Oil and Gas Company and other operating companies, to demonstrate determination in their efforts to support the nation.
The oil minister stressed that the oil industry is a key driver of the country's economic development, adding that such a role is incompatible with routine bureaucratic tasks that lack risk-taking and boldness.
Paknejad called for increased efforts in this sector, telling senior officials of the National Iranian Oil Company that the Oil Ministry's duty is to support and back their work.
He reiterated the importance of providing opportunities for talented youth to curb emigration and of utilizing the skills of women in administrative, research, and engineering positions.
Referring to the Leader's guidance on resolving issues in the private sector, the minister noted the significant role this sector plays in the country's economy.
The oil minister also addressed the challenges of gas supply shortages in the country, stating that despite efforts, the required gas was not provided. This experience, he said, reinforced the need for self-reliance.
