He stated that modernizing critical components and equipment in the first refineries of the SPGC is a top priority, and constructive solutions must be implemented to address this issue.
Gholamabbas Hosseini made these remarks during a meeting on Monday with Alireza Shokouhian, caretaker of the HSE, Environment and Passive Defense Department at the National Iranian Gas Company.
He noted that over the past 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 20, 2024), approximately 2 billion cubic meters more gas has been sent to the national grid compared to the same period last year.
This increase in production reflects the strong determination of managers, specialists, and employees to ensure the comfort and well-being of the nation.
Hosseini highlighted that the South Pars Gas Complex employs over 20,000 people and stressed the importance of developing infrastructure and constructing residential housing in the country’s largest gas production center. He called for proactive measures to address these priorities.
The CEO pointed out that the first refineries of the South Pars Gas Complex, which are over 25 years old, require the modernization of strategic components and equipment.
He said this effort would ensure the sustainability of gas and byproduct production across all South Pars refineries.
Hosseini emphasized that a significant portion of the country’s energy supply is tied to the efforts of specialists and employees at the South Pars Gas Complex, which he described as a great honor for the managers, specialists, and staff of this valuable facility.
He also mentioned major repairs underway on pumps and turbo compressors at the 13 refineries of South Pars, noting that critical maintenance operations have been prioritized due to various challenges.
He expressed hope that, with the support of senior managers at the National Iranian Gas Company, the best possible outcomes would be achieved in this area.
