Leveraging external capabilities, primary strategy of NIORDC

SHANA (Tehran) – The deputy CEO of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) emphasized that the company’s internal capacities are insufficient to meet the needs of the refining and distribution industry.

Mohammadali Dadvar stated that leveraging external capabilities is the company’s primary strategy to address its challenges.

Dadvar made the remarks on Monday during the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between NIORDC and the National Elites Foundation for collaborative research projects.

“The internal capacities of the company cannot meet the demands of the refining and distribution industry, which is why we decided to utilize external resources,” he said.

Dadvar explained that under the MoU, major challenges in the refining industry will be identified, and the National Elites Foundation will provide solutions using its available expertise.

“Environmental issues, energy imbalances, and fuel smuggling are among the key challenges facing NIORDC. We hope to resolve a significant portion of these issues with the help of the country’s elites,” he added.

The deputy CEO stressed that NIORDC will work closely with the National Elites Foundation from the initial stages of project development through to implementation.

“In addition to leveraging the capabilities of the National Elites Foundation to address major challenges, NIORDC will also collaborate with other organizations and companies to solve these issues,” he said.

Dadvar outlined the responsibilities of the National Elites Foundation, which include brainstorming solutions, approving ideas, and advancing them to the semi-industrial stage.

“Our collaboration with the National Elites Foundation is not limited to these areas. We will work together throughout all stages of the process,” he said.
